Manhattan Beach – Places to visit in La

Manhattan Beach

Last Saturday we went to Manhattan Beach which is located very close to the airport. If anyone has ever have a super short stop over in LAX I highly recommend going there (Google map to show how close it is).

We went to Venice and Santa Monica Beached a few times before but we didn’t really love it. Venice Beach is very touristy on a weekend, it is packed with with cheap souvenir ops and lots and lots of people. Santa Monica Beach is equally busy and it is lacking in atmosphere. I did a bit of a research and decided to go to Manhattan beach and it was a perfect choice. Manhattan Beach is now our favourite part of Los Angeles and a must place to visit. It has a seaside town feel but isn’t tacky and at the same time it feels very relax with a good vibe.

There is plenty of beach volleyball nets so you can be super active or just relax which is what I prefer. Beach itself is very wide so you will defiantly find a quite space, we didn’t have to walk very far to find a childless and teenagerless spot (sorry but I can’t stand hearing OMG! every 5 seconds). You can also rent bicycles, Manhattan Beach has a pretty nice cycle line or you can engage in a power walk as many people did.

After few hours in the sun we had a little wander and there are some nice shops, especially if you are looking for swimwear Manhattan Beach is probably one of the best in Los Angeles. We fell in love with the ocean view houses! It is one of my dreams to live by the sea/ocean and Mnahattan Beach fits in perfectly 🙂

Overall it was a really nice day and we can’t wait to go back!
